Signe Skjesol

Signe Weider Skjesol is a promising violinist from Hamar, Norway. She is currently pursuing a degree in classical music performance at NTNU´s institute of music, studying with Cam Kjøll and Marianne Thorsen. Signe started playing at a very young age and made her debut as a soloist with the local symphonic orchestra at 11 years old. A former student at renowned Barratt Due Institute of Music, Signe has studied with Soon-Mi Chung and Sigyn Fossnes, as well as participated in masterclasses with other great artists such as Henning Kraggerud and Gil Shaham.

At an early stage in her career, Signe has already performed extensively as a freelancer. While pursuing her studies, the young violinist has been very active in Trondheim, especially with the Trondheim soloists, where recent highlights include touring with Vivaldi´s four seasons in Spain and with Ragnhild Hemsing in Germany. In august 2023, Signe made her debut as a soloist with Trondheim Symphonic Orchestra. She has contributed to Norwegian music festivals such as Trondheim kammermusikkfestival and Stangvikfestivalen. Signe brings a unique sensitivity and passion to her performances, aiming to create a meaningful connection with her audience
